Hoobastank

I thought it was too good to be true
I found somebody who understands me
Someone who would help me to get through
And fill an emptiness I had inside me
But you kept inside and I just denied
Some things that we should have both said
I knew it was too good to be true
Cause I'm the only one who understands me

What happened to us?
We used to be so perfect
Now we're lost and lonely
What happened to us?
And deep inside I wonder
Did I loose my only?

X'mas

Its always the Eve of a festive that seems more fun than the actual day itself.

On X'mas Eve, me and K went over to one of his friend's Uncle's place at Bedok South for dinner. We waited for him to pick us up from the train station, cuz you know, damn private estates, you really have to walk in alot. His dad came in an SLK. Whee. Okay, to date, I've sat in a Jaguar, a beetle, an Eston Martin, 5 Series BMW, SLK, And one of those posh Merc. Oops, and i've digressed. The host treated us with utmost hospitality. The food was so good. They had cathering from Jack's Place. The deco was simply immaculate. Although their porch wasn't very big, they had tables with nice table cloths, balloons etc etc. And when I walked into the house, they had a huge X'mas tree which was way taller than me. It was buffet style, not on paper plates but the normal glass plates. They had Salmon in this really good sauce, braised pork, the usual fried rice/noodles, sushi, salad, satay, CRAYFISH, er...and prawn fritters. All in all, a hearty dinner. Though we didn't know like 98.9% of the ppl there, but everyone there was so friendly, including their neigbours. His uncle has a very cute neighbour! Oh damn it. K caught me stealing a glimpse of him.

After that, the plan was to go to Wala Wala to meet K's friends. One of his friends called him to tell him that there will be cover charge today. Argh. Fucking $20 with ONE DRINK!. I was so so reluctant to pay i tell you. I've whined my way down from Bedok all the way to Holland V about being hesitant to go Wala. Haha, only to get K paying for my cover. Double Whee.

The UnXpected Band performed that night. Wala went through some kinda renovation. Their tables are unmovable. Well, pretty good performance actually. With us were Greg/Marcus, Risshe and gf, and I don't know the rest. I never knew what it was to be with Greg & K. Too monkeys shouting their hearts out to everysong. Swaying side ways. They would convince me that they are fans of Celine Dion or something if they had those light sticks in their hand. Er...Yeah. We stayed there till 2am. The band performed stuff by Bryan Adams, Carpenters, Maroon 5, REM, Train, to RHCP, some really old sch rock, probably ACDC and their really irritating sounding X'mas song which they made up. Hur

Left Holland V ard 2.15am. 5 of us managed to squeeze into a cab. Triple Whee

Thats my Eve for ya.
X'mas day..is really nothing without you guys. No sleep overs, no cooking/bitchign session. I stayed home on X'mas after visiting my grandfather's house. Bah

Come monday, me and K are going to the Water Theme Park. Then we'll be going to his house to cook. He'll be inviting some friends over. Lets just say, its a post-x'mas dinner sorta thing

p/s: I'll post up the damn pics when my camera decides to be more obedient
Till then.

While you were away

Dear K,

While you were away:
  1. I went for a haircut at Kimage. The irritating hair dresser kept persuading me to rebond my hair. I remained adament to his persuasions. Cuz firstly, I'm too broke. Secondly, i don't think i wanna look like those girls you see on the street. Hence, no rebonding. Just a hair cut. But i must say, the guy who did my hair was realllly cute. Indian-Chinese. He speaks mandarin though. Tough Luck

  2. I went IMM with my parents. I finally ate that stupid Taiwan Stall chicken. And i agree with you. It's nothing special.
  3. I watched Ocean Twelve with my parents. They didn't like it. But i love it.
  4. I went Orchard with my parents. Apparently, there was this X'mas parade thing going on. It was too crowded. We grew bored of it. I went to Sony Cybershot to buy the stinking USB cable, Battery Adaptor, Power Cord for the cybershot camera that my dad found. And it costs a whopping $155. But i've got to go down two weeks later to collect my adaptor. They didnt' have any stock. Bah. Still much cheaper than buying a camera. Considering that the camera came along with two 16mb, one 8mb and one 32mb memory card.
  5. I went to my granny's place for lunch. Following that, I dropped by Hob's place which was 2 blocks away only to collect my shoes from her.
  6. I had mcdonald's today. Their fries taste so good. And i'm worried I'll grow fatter. I met Hob's at centrepoint macs with Nick and his friend. Coincidence?
  7. I've got a big pimple on my forehead.
  8. I cut my fringe this morning. By myself. Don't ask why.
  9. I got you your X'mas present. You wanted budget, you got it. It costs less than..er..(you can count the amount with one hand). Hurhur.

That is all. And i'm anticipating your return. And our X'mas celebration.

Glutton Sq vs Block 85

Here's why you shouldn't eat at Glutton Square:
fyi: Glutton Sq is that carpark area opposite Centre Point which has been converted into a hawker centre. A reminiscent of the 60s, or issit 70s. Whatever
  1. The min is $4 for whatever you order.
  2. You have to queue up to order, wait at the stall to collect your food
  3. The drink stall only has coffee, tea, coke, kikapoo, sinalco and mineral water
  4. The drinks are exorbitant
  5. You have to wait/rush for seats
  6. You can forget about going there on a wet day
  7. The food is mediocre. Really. *

*Except for the BCM. The dry one. By far the nicest thing there.

Conclusion: Block 85 is way better compared to Glutton Square. Without a doubt.

Why You Should Eat At Blk 85:

  1. For $2 you get bowl of BCM, that makes you really happy after eating it. (who cares about the fats when you're talking about BCM)
  2. They have a variety of drinks
  3. They have good chicken wings
  4. They have the BEST bbq stingray
  5. Blk 85 is in the east. Good for all easties
  6. You don't have to rush or wait for seats
  7. You can eat there even on a rainy day
  8. You get served. And you don't see queues at the stalls
  9. Its cheap. And you don't have to pay a stinking $4 for something like carrot cake.
Conclusion: Give me Blk 85 ANYTIME

Quote from a Book

"Most women leave men not because they've stopped loving them. But because they're emotionally unfufilled"
